With the Restylane family of products, time is on your side

The Restylane family of products includes Restylane, Restylane-L®, Restylane® Silk, Perlane®, and Perlane-L®. These products are made of a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, which is biocompatible with the human body and eventually broken down naturally. They can be used individually to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

Restylane, Restylane-L and Restylane Silk are the only products FDA approved for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years, and are uniquely formulated to give your lips fullness and definition.

A History of beautiful results

Restylane injectable gel is the world's most studied wrinkle filler with more than a decade of use. Restylane has been used in more than 15 million treatments in more than 65 countries worldwide.* Products in the Restylane family have well-defined safety profiles and are approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

About Restylane and Restylane injectable gels

Treat your moderate to severe wrinkles and folds and enhance your lips

Products in the Restylane family add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane, Restylane-L or Restylane® Silk can also add fullness and definition to lips in patients over 21 years, providing natural-looking results with just one treatment.

How does Restylane work?

Restylane works immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is specifically formulated to act like your body's own hyaluronic acid, and eventually breaks down naturally.

Where Can Restylane® Be Used?

Treatment areas for the Restylane family of products

  • Marionette Lines
  • Lips
  • Cheeks
  • Nasolabial Folds
  • Under Eyes

About treatment volume

Treatment volume should be limited to 6.0 mL in wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, and limited to 1.5 mL per lip (Restylane, Restylane-L and Restylane Silk only), as greater amounts significantly increase moderate and severe injection site reactions. If a volume of more than 3 mL total is needed to achieve optimal correction for lip enhancement, a follow-up treatment session is recommended.

Restylane-L: Feel the difference with less discomfort*

Like Restylane, Restylane-L can also be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). But, by combining lidocaine with Restylane, Restylane-L can help reduce discomfort during and after treatment.

In clinical studies evaluating the Restylane family of products in laugh lines (nasolabial folds):

  • 72% of patients reported significantly less pain during treatment with Restylane-L vs. Restylane
  • Patients continued to experience less discomfort for up to one hour after treatment

*When compared to Restylane

Restylane-L and Restylane Silk should not be used by anyone with a known allergy to lidocaine.

After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 - 18 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years. Please see below for Important Safety Considerations for the Restylane family of products.

Restylane® Silk

For a silky, smooth
natural-looking smile

Designed specifically for lips and the lines around them

Restylane Silk has recently been approved for release in the United States! It's the first and only FDA-approved product specifically designed for subtle lip enhancement and the smoothing of wrinkles and lines around the mouth in patients over 21 years of age

How does Restylane Silk work?

Just like the other members of the Restylane family, Restylane Silk is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid — a sugar that is naturally present in your skin.

What makes Restylane Silk different from other Restylane products?

Like other areas of the face, the lips and skin surrounding the mouth show signs of aging as an individual gets older. This often results in lip thinning, lost shape and an increase in vertical lines above the lip.

Restylane Silk is designed specifically to provide natural-looking results in these areas. That's why it's made of smaller, smoother particles than those used in other Restylane products.

In a clinical study of patients treated with Restylane Silk or no treatment, clinical investigators reported:

  • 77% of patients treated with Restylane Silk showed at least a one-point improvement in lip fullness (measured on on a 5-point scale) eight weeks after treatment.
  • 59% of patients treated with Restylane Silk maintained lip fullness six months after treatment

Restylane® Silk's unique particle gel formula, along with an ultrafine needle designed for improved accuracy, helps give you softer, more precise results — just what you need for a natural-looking smile

See What Others Are Saying

In the same clinical study, patients treated with Restylane Silk reported fast-acting, long-lasting results:

  • 98% of patients reported a visible improvement in lip fullness 14 days after injection
  • 6% of patients still had lip improvement six months following injection

As with any other hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into the lips, the most common side effect is temporary swelling. Please see below for Important Safety Information for Restylane Silk.

These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 – 18 days in lips. • Important Safety Considerations for the Restylane family of products

Products in the Restylane family should not be used by people with previous bad allergies, particularly to microorganisms known as gram-positive bacteria, or by people with serious allergies to drugs that have previously required in-hospital treatment. These products should not be used by people with bleeding disorders. Products should not be injected anywhere except the skin, just under the skin (Perlane and Perlane-L only), or in the lips (Restylane, Restylane-L and Restylane Silk only). • Use at the site of skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infection should be postponed until healing is complete. In these instances, product use could delay healing or make your skin problems worse. After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 – 18 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years. Rarely, the doctor may inject into a blood vessel, which can damage the skin. Although rare, red or swollen small bumps may occur. If you have had facial cold sores before, an injection can cause an outbreak. To avoid bruising and bleeding, you should not use the products if you have recently used drugs that thin your blood or prevent clotting. Products should not be used during pregnancy, when breastfeeding, or in patients under 18 years for nasolabial folds.
  • Treatment volume should be limited to 6.0 mL in wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, limited to 1.5 mL per lip (Restylane, Restylane-L or Restylane Silk only), and 1.0 mL in lip lines (Restylane Silk), as greater amounts significantly increase moderate and severe injection site reactions. The safety of effectiveness of treatment in areas other than nasolabial folds (Restylane, Restylane-L, Perlane, and Perlane-L), lips (Restylane, Restylane-L, and Restylane Silk), and lip lines (Restylane Silk) has not been established in controlled clinical studies.
